Common questions

How do I get a number?

Create an account with Sign in with Apple or your email, add credit with an in-app purchase, then pick a number and choose a plan. Your number is a real, carrier-registered US phone number, ready for calls and texts right away.

How does billing work?

Zap-Phone is prepaid. You buy credit in the app (credits never expire), and credit pays for your number's plan in blocks — 30 days for $7.99, 90 days for $20.99, or 365 days for $55.99, each including a messaging allowance. There are no contracts. Purchases are billed by Apple; refund requests for in-app purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

My messages or calls aren't going through.

First check that your number's plan is active and your messaging allowance isn't used up (both are shown in the app). If everything looks right and it still isn't working, email us with your account email and the number — we'll investigate right away.

How do I stop receiving messages from a Zap-Phone user?

Reply STOP to any message to opt out of messages from that number, or HELP for help. Zap-Phone users can also block unwanted inbound senders directly in the app.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion releases your phone numbers and permanently removes your personal data, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you can't access the app, email us from your account email and we'll take care of it.

Can I call 911?

No. Zap-Phone numbers do not support 911 or other emergency calls. Always keep a phone line capable of emergency calling available. See our Terms of Service for details.

Messaging terms. Zap-Phone sends user-initiated, person-to-person text messages. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help.
